but se la vi... whatever. people are kinda dumb.

boom.boom.bored.

i'm sooo bored. :'(

today in muh loverly dental class we learned how to place rubber dams. fun. i ended up helping a few people. they're really not that hard...on a mannequin. :)

i've got to come up with a pre-season exercise routine, or something for sports med. yay...!

and then there's writing 1010! yet another essay to critique. whoo! (more like blah. not to mention that it's about global warming. we have to get "really deep into the subject." it's boring... :'( i don't like how the stupid guy that wrote it uses fallacies left and right. and this paper is, like, 10 years old! he says that everyone flies and everyone has a huge SUV. grrr...stupid people. (person...whatev).

and an even LOVERLYER QUOTE!
"i was the neighbor's imaginary friend." emo phillips :D

externship Xs

hello fellow citizens! (of the human race :] )

so i get to do an externship (it's like an internship, but the offices aren't connected to the school, and you have to find them all by your little lonesome.)

anyway...

i have to try to find a dentist that is open long enough after school (i get off at 2:10), is a general practitioner, is hopefully somewhat close, and doesn't have, like 20 externs/interns already!! grr....

what a pain in the arse....er...butt. :}

and, carma says, i should try to stay in the granite school district, and if i do end up with a dr. that is specialized, i can only do 1/2 of my 90 hours there! >:(

i'm not liking this already!

so i called about 12 different offices (all the ones in west valley and a few that weren't) and:

*one i had to leave a message
*one # is no longer available/disconnected
*one is associated with a school, so they won't take any
*some have anywhere between 3 and 7 externs/interns already
*some have an office that is too small (one dr. and two assistants)
*and the rest just aren't taking any right now...

ARRGGGHHH!!!!

carma (my teach) tells us to just go there...it's harder for them to say "no" if you are there. well, frankly i don't feel like using all my gas for nothing! and i don't want to have to drive, like, 1/2 hour to get there if I'M DON'T GET PAID! (and i only get to work there for about 2 hours...most offices are only open until 5 or 6).

dilemas...dilemas... :[

an unpleasant stretch

You know what....I may be a stranger to you, I might not even be your favorite stanger. But I'm a stanger nontheless.

And this stranger has been having a pretty bum day...month actually.

It seems like I have near zilch friend relations, lately. All of my could-be friends don't have a class or lunch with me, and other would-be friends just seem to stab you in the back somehow. I'm not really sure if they mean to do the 'stabageing'...but somehow it always works around to it.

And then there are some guys... Guys are, well, guys. Guys are different from girls in almost every mortally/humanly possible way! It would be nice to have a girl-friend. Not just somebody that is there and talks about whatev and doesn't seem to notice if you're having a realy bad day...even if you're almost to a blown fuse. I think girls tend to be more...emotionally attached. Guys...not so much. They don't know when is a good time, and when it isn't...until you finally do get that fuse to really sizzle.

Don't get me wrong. I adore guys. Most of the time I get along with them better. They don't like to start STUPID FIGHTS!! (ok, sometimes they do...but not over hair or "he's my boyfriend" or "your outfit is fugly." no, most don't hold grudges as long, either.)

I may be totally dillusional because I am, in fact, a girl...so maybe they treat me different. But I think a lot of the time I'm just one of the guys...or maybe just the girl that doesn't freak out over their jokes. Who knows??

Either way...guys are so much easier. I still don't really understand how the male mind works, but I'm sure I'll never completely figure it out.

Having an auto class where I'm the only girl (well...not true, Gretchen has joined my class this semester) has enlightened me.

Sometimes I wish life were just a little bit easier to understand, easier to handle.

Sometimes I wish I could break down the door and see what's just beyond the welcome mat of life, but maybe it's better that I can only go one step at a time...it makes life that much more unpredictable, that much more worth living.

Hopefully it will only get better from here...

Now, a few words from a pretty smart fellow:

same mistake twice without getting nervous."

blue suede phone

Ok, so it's not really suede...but it sounded like a good title.

Anyway, I got a new phone!! The case is blue and soft/fuzzy. . .I like it :)
I got it on. . . .Monday?? Yeah. . .

So, school has been loads of horrible, terrible, fun! I got to go buy yet another textbook. I'm trying to sell my Humanities book. I took a few big tests today. . . and played 500 in sports med. while Ketchum wasn't paying attention. Brandon wasn't very happy...I keep winning. I think it's his goal to beat me. I love that game. (If you don't know 500 and Gin Rummy are the same thing).

In other news, Jetta's just sitting here looking reaaallly bored. My professional opinion would be that she needs to find a hobby. Maybe she can take up sewing or something. . .?

I don't quite know why, but I've gotten a ton of cold sores this winter! AAAGHH!! They're sooo annoiing! I think this makes 4...? Usually I only get one...if I get any at all. geez . . . (Don't think I've been smooching ppl to get them either!) >:(

a trip to the DENTIST!!!

>:3 MUAH-HA-HA-HA-HAAAH!!!

I'm in a dental assisting class and we got to play dentist to the other chillins in our class.

Well...first I was the patient, so I was poked and prodded first! (Jealous??) Well, they didn't really know what they we doing and...well I'm missing 1/2 of my face. It was pretty painful, and now I'm getting reconstructive surgery....I hope it doesn't hurt too bad... :'(

Just kidding!! Actually I did end up with a lake in my mouth. We got to use the mirrors, the water syringe, the vaccums, and the explorer (aka that pointy thing the dentist uses to poke and scrape with). We learned that when you're holding the explorer, you need to rest part of your hand on the patient's mouth (like your pinky on their cheek) for support....that way you won't drop it down the patient's throat. Could you imagine?!?

We got to play with those huge needles last time...ya know, the big 6 inch ones! BUT in dentistry it's not a SHOT, we're not shooting people...we're just numbing you! ;)

I've been wearing scrubs to school, too. They're "sea green" or "real teal"...either way.... I like the color. It's pree..

Playing Dr. I got to move the chair and stuff...I had to sit and mess with it for a bit, cuz I had some problems figuring out how to get the thing to move back up. You feel kinda stupid, actually... The sad thing is that when I went to use the water syringe, the spout wasn't locked in and it soaked my patient.... :( it was a tad embarrassing..... my gloves, his scrubs, his bib....everything got wet it seems!
