a trip to the DENTIST!!!

I'm in a dental assisting class and we got to play dentist to the other chillins in our class.

Well...first I was the patient, so I was poked and prodded first! (Jealous??) Well, they didn't really know what they we doing and...well I'm missing 1/2 of my face. It was pretty painful, and now I'm getting reconstructive surgery....I hope it doesn't hurt too bad... :'(

Just kidding!! Actually I did end up with a lake in my mouth. We got to use the mirrors, the water syringe, the vaccums, and the explorer (aka that pointy thing the dentist uses to poke and scrape with). We learned that when you're holding the explorer, you need to rest part of your hand on the patient's mouth (like your pinky on their cheek) for support....that way you won't drop it down the patient's throat. Could you imagine?!?

We got to play with those huge needles last time...ya know, the big 6 inch ones! BUT in dentistry it's not a SHOT, we're not shooting people...we're just numbing you! ;)

I've been wearing scrubs to school, too. They're "sea green" or "real teal"...either way.... I like the color. It's pree..

Playing Dr. I got to move the chair and stuff...I had to sit and mess with it for a bit, cuz I had some problems figuring out how to get the thing to move back up. You feel kinda stupid, actually... The sad thing is that when I went to use the water syringe, the spout wasn't locked in and it soaked my patient.... :( it was a tad embarrassing..... my gloves, his scrubs, his bib....everything got wet it seems!

this book sounds like one of the dumbest i've ever heard of!!! it was summed up for me yesterday by mrs. mcmitchell.

basically the chickie that wrote it knows...well, not very much about vampires! and she's got this reality thing totally wrong. here...i'll list some things we came up with.

1. vampires have a BLOOD LUST, so even if they do love somebody soooo muuuch that person isn't staying a person for very long. that person would either die, or ...well...die. they'd become a vampire.

2. vampires can't have kids...THEY'RE DEAD. so if they were to have kids, they'd be born DEAD!! (vanhelsing's pretty much got it)

3. if edward had to bite the kid out of her, she'd be a vamp or die anyway..the kid would, too, i think.

4. vampires aren't that boring. they travel. they don't like to stay in one place.

5. whoever heard of a mormo vamp?!? vampires are totally into everything NOT mormo!!!

6. as i said, vamps are dead. they don't need to go to highschool. they know all they need to know. they learn fast. if they didn't, they'd be killed......again.

7. there is no such thing as a guy being ok with his enemy marrying the girl he loves, then showing up at the wedding to give them his blessing.

8. now this part sounds flds, if you ask me. why would you not want to marry this werewolf, then decide you'll let him have your DAUGHTER!! cummon!! he's like 20 years older than this chick. why would you wanna marry somebody old enough to be your dad... but then, why would you wanna marry somebody old enough to be your, like, 11th great-grandfather??!! that's just wrong.


the vampire only likes her cuz of something about her blood...on the other hand, the werewolf liked her for her all along. and him you'd only have to worry about once a month...hey, that's how girls are, too!! hahaha...! ;)
so i guess he might have something to worry about, too.

if the actors didn't have anything good to say about it...why would i want to watch it? cummon...vamps that do NOTHING!? no conflict!? vamp movies (or books) are supposed to be entertaining. not blah.

and this girl needs to get herself some feel good pills or something...

if only everything were perfect. but then, life's no fun without conflict..so screw that! fighting's a healthy part of life. without it, you might as well be brainwashed.

SKOOL

There are only 2 1/2 days left....school starts on Monday. :'(

Like my friend Mandy was saying the other day: This is our last summer...no more summers after this, we'll be graduated. Then there's college and work and who knows what else.

It's sad 'cause I may or may not see a lot of my friends after this year...they all seem to get so busy

during the summer....but then, same here.

Tyler has a game today. The sad thing is that he gets off work at 5 and has to be to the school about 5 minutes after he gets off. If he's not there in time, he'll be benched for the game.

It's the only pre-season game Hunter is having and it's against Davis. I hope I can go.

Homecoming is about 3 weeks in to school this year. Fun!

I've decided I'm going to drag my brother to at least one game this year (Hunter's big sport is Football...) so it may as well be homecoming! :D

today i went and got registered 4 school!!

so we had youth conference...i helped my mom make some "have a good day" cards for the reverse scavenger hunt she did (i made the cards & copied them...). there was 1 card that got kinda retarded when i was cutting it, so i doodled on it!!

the top bird has a mohawk & can breathe fire! it also has a tatoo, but you can't see it cuz it's under it's feathers! the other bird has horns and little spikes on it's back (like a dragon).

OH...the olympics have been going on too! ......have you seen any? actually the only ones i've watched are some of the dives & swimming that was on today...and the 1st part of the vault...sad huh??

it's cuz i keep forgetting that the olympics are on!! how sad...

I've just been sitting at home...kinda boring. whoo-hoo!!! (j/k)
and it gets hot...so I don't really fell like being outside (and there's the laborious task of smothering myself with sunscreen!! cuz I burn like a candle...let me put it this way, after 15 minutes in the sun I look lobster-ously pink.)


In the last week i've read all of the 'Immortals' series by Tamora Pierce.
So this makes #5 of her books i've read. I've read Alanna...her 1st...
and then there are the 4 from the Immortals. yup.


So i start school in less than a month...isn't it horrible. I'm a senior...it's my last year. It's strange that it seems so long ago (and not so long ago) i barely started school!! Then again, I've got college to look forward to...


I've got YC (youth conference) this weekend. it's starting friday (tomorrow) and ends on sunday. i might get to hang out with some friends tomorrow morning, but it all depends..
i'm not sure if tyler has practice, but i'll know soon enough.


I didn't think i'd end up reading any books this summer, let alone 4..... but then I did listen to books on cd, so I guess that kinda counts as reading a book, right?!? So in reality...it's 9 books this summer...I think.


I bet this one has been REALLY boring, huh? I wish I was a more entertaining writer, but as you can tell...my life has been a tad lame. Then again, my summers usually aren't all that fun & exciting. Usually I end up sitting at home, watching tv or just goofing off with friends. Sounds completely riveting, huh??


I still need to check what time registration is at the school. They didn't answer the phone today, and I can't find anything (that it'll let me look at) online. And there's signing up for SLCC for those CC (college credit/concurrent) classes....excitment there. Yay! :'(

WOW!!! IT'S BEEN AGES since I last put ANYTHING on this thing...it could be, of course, that I forget the password for this particular page really easily. Why? you might ask...my response is short and simple: i don't know. funny..isn't it?

anyway. i went to girl's camp last week. it could have been much better...but at the same time it could've been worse. i was a YCL (youth camp leader), which means it was my last year as "one of the girls." if i wanna go next year i get to be one of the actual leaders--"an adult."

back on track...i was followed ALL week, almost 24/7 by one of the other YCLs. it got REALLY annoiing...i like my space, and i can get clostrophoic. she would stand, like, 2 inches away!! i would scoot away..and she'd scoot closer & be about 2 inches away from me again!!! grrr....
so i'd have to tell her to back off. i need my space! it's not like some people who just forget a few times, then remember after somebody blows up on them for it. no! she'd forget, almost on purpose!!! argh! it was driving me NUTS!! i was reeeaaallllyy tempted to just stay with my ward.

1/2 way thru the week somebody jacked my beanie! it was a hunter wrestling one that you can't get just anywhere, too. i was freaking out, cuz i really didn't wanna lose it. ppl would ask what was wrong... that can get reaallly annoiing too! ya know when you just want to be left alone and EVERYBODY keeps asking you and asking you, you try to get away or something...that can drive ya crazy!

anyway. terri (my leader) said that we'd find it...but that's not all that was bugging me. i didn't feel good, and i had a shadow! then i found out somebody had gotten into my stuff and taken some of my pads!! how NOT COOL is that?!? can i just ask WHY somebody would take pads?

so i found ONE left in my bag. i was really glad when i got to go home.

i don't have to put sunscreen on 5 times a day (i did at camp, literally). no more shadow. beanie safe and sound. not bothered more than usual. music. (there i no...and i mean NO radio signal at all...no stations...no music...it sucked!) and the best part of all.......

I CAN TAKE A SHOWER WHENEVER I WANT! i don't have to take a 'babywipe bath' and i don't feel all nasty at the end of the day..or by noon. i swear, when i took a shower that water turned black! it was soooo gross!!! ewww...

ahh.. and no GIANT bugs!!! those are friggin mutant bugs up there.

we went up just past Kamas. for a week.

so i feel lots and lots and lots better. :D
