ST. GEORGE

Friday morning we had a practice at 6 o' clock. Then we got on the bus at 8 and had a lovely 6 hour drive down to St. George. When we got there we went straight to the rec center where the meet was being held. We stretched, did a 1/2 hr warm up and waited for the meet to start and our event(s) to come.

I was in the last event on Friday. . the 50 freestyle (event....uhm....i think it was event 6 or 8?). Heat 5 lane 4. I came first in my heat, completeing the 50 in 32 seconds (3 seconds faster then my last time). Which, I'm sad to say, is a little slow. . all well, I'm a rookie this year, and I haven't done very much athletic work in the past 2 years. The fact that i have a pretty messed up knee doesn't help much.

After we were finished that day, we got checked into out hotel and ate dinner (yay for pizza) while we waited for the coaches to get our keys to the rooms. We finished dinner, hung out for about an hour, then had to depart to our rooms (guys and girls couldn't interact after 9) and had to be in bed around 10ish.

I bunked with Caitey and Kelli (whom i call miss Kelli). Poor Kelli was very sick. . i think she got us sick too. Caitey said she was up 1/2 the night from Kelli caughing. Tyler said he could hear he caughing up a lung down the hall (we were in room 219 and he in 207). I didn't hear he, I did hear Tyler knocking on the door at 5 in the morning, but I thought it was Shawn (the coach). He knocked again later, and i opened the door that time.

We all got up (we let Kelli get some more sleep, she'd be getting a wakeup call at six) and went downstairs for breakfast.

We packed up, and headed back to the rec center (we wouldn't be going back to the hotel) for the 2nd 1/2 of the meet.

We did stretches and a warmup. Then we started off with the 100s. I was in Event 11 (100 freestyle), heat 5, lane 6. I got 5th and beat my last time by 2 seconds (about 1 min and I-forgot seconds)....slow.

I didn't do very much because my legs (as i said earlier) are messed up. . it's sad. So for the last 2 weeks in practice I've been using only my arms to swim, no legs (you use a bouy, a floatie that goes between your thighs or knees).

After the meet finished (22 events in all, with numerous heats.....in my first event there were 19 heats, 8 lanes each. . that's 152 girls in all doing that event) we showered, got on the bus, stopped for lunch, got back on the bus rode for about 2 or 3 hours until we stopped for bathroom breaks and food if ya wanted it. Then it was back on the bus, and sleep for the next 4ish hours. . . fun. Doncha think??

The first day, i wasn't too happy with my "team mates," they can be REALLY hipocritical. . .grrr!!

Those buses can be really uncomfortable after afew hours, and they're not too great to sleep in. If you've got padding/cushions or something, and turn sideways, it's not too bad. or if you've got something to do. . . .*sigh*. . . .

So. . .so much for my first trip to Stl George. And probably my last for a long time. . . (at least a few years. . ) The last time I went anywhere close to that far south was in 7th grade. We went to Arches and Gremlin Valley. It was pretty fun. So was St. George, I'm glad I had Tyler & Caitey (wasn't as bad as we thought she'd be [!!!]) & Kelli (was ok, not very talky, as per-usual) & Sky (also not very talky) & Brian.

So. . . I'm sure you are totally enthralled with my little summary of the last 2 days. I'm sure. . . .

Until next time. . .

homework

arg!!! this stupid constitution thing is driving me insane!!! i still need 3 more news articles and it's due tomorrow!! how in the world am i 'sposed to find something on the housing of troops! it's impossible. have you ever tried looking online for the 7 articles and 1st 10 amendments?! you need to have news articles that are 2 wks old. .maybe a month at the oldest. it's sooo hard!! grr. . .

i am sooo tired. i've surprisingly gotten a lot of sleep lately. it doen't help that i've got swim practice 6 days a week.
on the days i have school i get there at 6 and go until school starts or until the end of 1st period (depends on the day) and the days i don't have school i go from 7-9 am. . i get sundays off. yay. .

the other day i was feeling sick. i went to bed at about 7:30-8ish. . and woke up around 5-5:30. i got about 10 hrs of sleep.

i think ty's right. . if you get more sleep you're body will want more sleep and get lazier and not want to get up. but then. . sprints almost everyday make me not want to even bother getting up for practice. i know i'll just be sore after practice anyway.

i hate my knees. .

if it weren't for them i could run and walk longer and kneel (w/o it biting me in the butt) and swim harder and longer. . and so so so much more! if only, if only. . .

aren't i just a sob stroy. . hahaha. . . but i just feel like complaining. . so you can either read on and deal with it. .or you can just stop reading and read/do something else. it's you're life, you can decide what you wanna do with it. .

i think that everybody in my group of friends has had a really bad week. sarah and her bf had a weird breakup/backtogether thing & she's been haveing issues wit her momma about him too.
myself and tyler have had a headache, ill tummy and various other sore spots (poor tyler. . he had fun at swim the other day. . big red spot from a locker and being passed out for the last 1/2 hr of practice. .need i say more??)

what else? oh, yeah. . caitey. . she's kinda been getting. .well, on my nerves. . and ty's and . . . well. .

see. . she keeps asking what SHE did that made us mad at her, or what SHE so we're acting like we are, or how SHE isn't feeling good, has asthma, and bad knees, etc., etc., etc.
i know others on the team have it worse. . but her. . her. . .her. . .her. . herherherher! ggrrrr!!
we've tried to tell her that the world doesn't revolve around her! we've tried it nicely and very very bluntly. it doesn't seem to be working. how can you continue to be nice (or try) to somebody that no matter what they do. .it seems to drive ya nuts?! AHHH!! >:(

i'm usually a pretty nice person. . but some ppl just push my buttons with no mercy! no it tends to "karma" around. .

ooohhh!! me and me friends WERE going to be disney princesses for halloween (it's not exactly happening). they decided i'd be Ariel (the little mirmaid). . . red hair, i guess. . puff was gonna be the black Cinderella, kayla was gonna be Belle, mandy was gonna be Snow White, and sarah Tinkerbell. i don't know what i'm really gonna be. i wanted to be Pippy. . but i still need the socks. . . stripes. . . then i just need to get something to get my hair to stick out. my dad says a hanger. . we'll see. .

i think bed and food sounds good. it's been nice venting to you. . thanx for the ears. XD

-lately-

howdy ya'll! haha. . so i've had fun trying to find my dumb password. . it's been a while since i've been on this site. . . ! so yeah.

my computer is freaking out so i've gotta find other ones to write on. . it's sad. i'm at one of mine bestest friend's house. . kaylala! hehehe. . we're waiting for tyler to get outta practice.

school starts in a week! can you believe it!? wow.
me and some friends are going to go to class change day. that way maybe we can get a few classes together.

April is sooo funny. she was like freaking out about my taking tyler to a church activity. then on sunday she was still telling me how cute it was! I was like. . wow, i wonder what she'll do when i take him to church on sunday (next month) with me?! hahahah. . I've decided to take him on a day when we have a combined class. .that way he won't have to leave and not know what to do in another class. Lucky me. . i get to try to explain things to him. i don't really care, thought. I think it's cool that he doesn't mind going with me.

girl's camp (6-22-07)

geez...talk about old! i was looking at old posts...and this was just a draft!

This week i went to girl's camp with my ward. We left Tuesday, and got back today.

I think that the biggest accomplishment we've had was that we didn't fight this year. Except for a few dumb little arguments about nothing, we did good!

I passed off a lot of stuff for my camp necklace. I've only got to memorize 2 scriptures, mia maid & laurel mottos, and the articles of faith. (The hardest will be the articles.)

A ton of people were freaking out about having food in the tent at night. The day before we left, there was that news report about the little boy that was attacked by a bear at a boy scout camp (I think that's what it was). Poor little kid. What a way to go. .attacked by a bear cuz of granola bars and your gameboy. :'(

For some reason, it didn't really freak me out. Staying out in a tent, with bears running around. We never actually saw a bear, so I guess it didn't really phase me. . ? We've never seen a bear around our camps before. There's been deer, moose, racoons, potguts, and stuff like that. Dunno. .

bored. .burned. . applesauce. .

Today we did "yard work."

What we did was tore up the fence that goes across the back yard. The neighbor is putting in a new one, and the old one was sad & falling apart. It's fallen over before (because of the wind).

After that, I went inside and fell asleep for a few hours. Then I decided I should get up. My legs were gonna give out on me, I swear they were. Going up the stairs was really fun. .

We have, like, nothing to eat. It sucks. So I just ate about a whole bottle of applesauce. It was cold. .that's good. . and it's healthy.

I put sunscreen on, and now I feel funky. I burn so freakin easy, it SUCKS!! I didn't think I burned that easy. On Thursday, a bunch of my friends went to the mall. I didn't have any moolah, and I didn't really wanna go.

Kayla, Tyler & I walked down to the Kennedy seminary. We wanted to talked to Bro. Brinley.

It took around 20-30 minutes to walk there. I got burned. It's like. . 'Wow, I didn't think I was that bad.'

tangerine speedo

Summer is on it's way! Just about 1 week until school is over (until august. .).

My problem(s) with summer is:
1. Too freakin hot!!
2. I don't get 2 see my friends almost every day.
3. I get bored easy. hopfully i do get out of the house this year (work doesn't count).

I do like:
1. SWIMMING!! heck yes baby!
2. No homework. .woo-hoo, except for bordom! arg. .
3. Hang out with friends other than for school work. .but I don't get to see as many as often. .
~cry~ :'(
4. Target practice. . ya don't get to do as much in the winter. .unless you wanna freeze your @$$ off. . ; )

Ahh. . what's with the tangerine speedo, you ask? Well, what makes you think of summer more than an awesome, tangerine speedo. .and I think the song's purty dang funny/entertaining (in a weird lyrics sort 'o way), too!

PROM!!!

It was great. We had soo much fun! Well, I did anyway.

We went to the zoo for our day activity. The guys were so funny! Tyler was trying to start a fight with some of the animals, and he and Sterling were talking about wresting some of them. Those poor birds were so picked on.

We went to lunch and Tyler and Sterling each grabbed a big handful of ketchup packets. They didn't use that much, though. (My mom thinks that I should take the ketchup to school and give them to the boys. . I dunno, maybe?)

We went and got ready for the dance. I went to Kayla's house. It was almost time for the guys to be showing up, so we decided that if they came before we were done curling, we'd go upstairs. The doorbell rang. I booked it upstairs.

Jenny (Kayla's sister) came up and told us that they were there and that his (Tyler) tux wasn't all burgandy (it sounded like it was from what he said) just the bow tie and the vest. She also told us that their parents were there! EEEEK!! I was excited! FUN!!! (Jenny said that she would be nervous or scared, not excited.)

Finally we were finished (with some dancing around by me included). I went down first (Kayla didn't want to go down alone (she was done first) and she didn't want to go down first), and I tripped down the stupid stairs! Lucky for me Tyler was standing at the bottom of them! He caught me. Tyler said, "I told you someone was going to trip on that fourth step!" (to Sterling). Sterling told me that at least it was graceful. . . my foot even popped!

When we were taking pictures and after dinner waiting to go. . I was dancing around. It was so fun. They were telling me to save it for the dance. . :( Where's the fun in that?!?! They all thought it was funny I guess, they all laughed.

Kayla was so quiet. She didn't talk much, and she says that she can't dance, so she didn't do much of that either. I danced almost the whole time.

Most of the time we were at the dance we kept asking each other if we were having fun. The answer was always 'yes.' It was funny.

Tyler and I did the waltz, the swing, a few country line dances, and a bunch of slow dances. They played so many freakin' slow-dance type music! At least I had a date this time!! It wasn't so awkward. Just standing there, not wanting to ask anybody to dance, bored. . you know how that is. .! Not this time! :)

You've gotta love guys. They don't really care what everyone else thinks! They looked like they were having a blast.

Tyler told me that he didn't really like heights, so he'd stay away from the windows. The dance was on the fifth floor at the Rice Eccles Tower. There it's hard to stay away from the windows. They're huge (go from ceiling to the floor, on both sides, and no railings). We were by the sides anyway. Tyler just kept his back to the window most of the time.

I saw a lot of people that I know there. Only afew of them were seniors. It's kinda sad.

Tyler had told me that he couldn't imagine crying over that crown. I said that that's because he's not a girl.

Well, after the dance we went to Kayla's sister's house, and watched a movie and had dessert. We ate schmookies. . I think that's what they're called. They're cookie dough baked in a pan, then you put icecream on them. . then eat 'em! Yum. It was fun.

Well, if you can't tell. . .I had a blast!!!! I think the other 3 did, too. They said they did. . I hope so.

A Week Before Prom

I'm soo excited!! I get to go the Sr. Ball! Yay... I asked Tyler about a week or so ago. The dance is in a week... :D

Now Sterling has to tell Kayla [hopefully] YES! If he doesn't.. I'm not gonna be very happy with him.. grr..! >:(

It's been about a week since she asked. I wonder if he knows it's her?

I just asked Tyler to his face (Madi kinda messed things up...all well). It was kinda easier anyway. I got that out of the way.

Now we just needa figure out what to do for a day activity. Hmmm... We were thinking about going to Lagoon, but it'd probably be crowded. Maybe the zoo? We're not sure yet. Eh, we have a week to figure that out.

Last Saturday I went dress shopping. The first place we went wasn't open, so we went to the mall. That was rediculous. None of the stupid dresses fit me or if they did, they made me look weird. Like one was too tight around the tummy, so we got a size bigger. That was too big on top!! I'm not a freakin' MAN, dang-it! Another one made it look like I was slouching my shoulders forward weird. We went to another mall. They had almost NO dresses. We went to Kohl's and Sears...NOTHING! We went to Walmart to look at patterns... I didn't really want to sew my dress...the patterns we liked called for a lot of material. I was soooo stressed out! We went to Wendy's and I ate 2 burgers with the evil aluminum-cheese in about 5 minutes! (I'm not a big person that has food for a comfort, well, not all the time anyway! ;) )

We went dress shopping again on Wednesday. That was much more fruitful. We went to The Sample Room (in Sandy). The plus was that the dress looks good AND wasn't as much $$$ as the stupid ones at the mall!!

My dress is kinda burgandy-purple-ish. On the tag it said grape, but it doen't really look "grape." It's got a corset-like bodice. It laces up the back. That thing is a pain in the you-know-what (arms) to try to put on by yourself!!! I tryed to put it on so I could see what it would look like with a black shrug over it. The shape didn't turn out too great on top (I only laced up about three or four holes on each side.. doesn't make it look as good..). From what I could tell, it would look ok.

Kayla was going to get a dress that has the same pattern, but is a different color. For some reason she didn't go back and get it today.. and they only hold it for 48 hours.

The girl that was helping us out seemed like she was pretty excited for us. She was funny. We (Kayla & I) were goofing around, making fun of some of the dresses that weren't so cute. One had ruffly sleeves. I was like "OOh. Ruffles." Kayla grabbed it and said, "Ruffles." I was like, ". . have ridges!" The girl started laughing and told us that we crack her up.

She found us a lot of dresses that she liked and thought that we might. A bunch of them were cute. One was a light purple, two piece dress. I was trying to get one of the snaps undone (on the back of the bodice) and I --poor me-- broke a nail.. luckily it didn't get into the pink part. :)

This is gonna be SSOOOO FUN!

a day at the mall

Howdy!!
Yesterday was fun. The first 1/2 of the day I cleaned my room (it's still not finished).
The last 1/2 of the day I went to the mall with some friends.

We got tickets for the movie we were gonna see- Daddy's Little Girls [which is a pretty cute show]. Then we wondered around. Ya see, the show that was going at the moment started at 2:15 and it was about 2:40, so we got tickets for the 4:45 showing.

Anyway, we got food and went shoe shopping. Kayla needed some new ones pretty bad, the ones she had were dying!! The first place we went to didn't have her size in the shoes she wanted. So we went to some other places. We also looked at clothes. Madison got a cute outfit, the shorts were pretty short, but they were cute.

I wish I had a job. They had some really cute shirts & stuff at 579 and Maurice's. All well.

We finally went to Payless and Kayla found some shoes she liked. Madison got some shoes that would go with her outfit. I got some orange AE flip-flops.

The movie was about to start, so we went to the area where the theater is.

After the movie we went and got some ice cream. Madison had gotten a shake before the movie, and while she was trying on clothes. . Kayla and I ate almost all of it! I kept telling Kayla to take it away from me, then she's eat some and tell me to keep it away from her, and so on. I felt so bad.

Back to after the movie. We were sitting there eating, and Kayla was talking to Chris over text. She had asked him what he was doing. She told us that she betted that the next thing he would say was "not much."

Maddi asked her what she would bet. Madison told Kayla that if Kayla was wrong, then she'd have to go over to these guys (that were sitting on a near-ish table to the one we were sitting at) and tell them that she wanted thier bodies.

Kayla didn't want to.

Eventually we got to the point where if he said "not much" Maddi would have to say that to them, if not. . I did. (Kayla's a chicken!!)

He wrote back and -lucky for me- said "not much." Maddi got up and walked over to them.
She said "Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I want your body," then walked back over to our table.

We started laughing so hard. She said that they weren't that cute.

Maddi asked what they were doing now, so Kayla started to kinda commentate what they were doing. . "They're getting up. . they're walking away. . .now they're coming back this way. . .now they're sitting back down. . .now they're walking back this way. . ."

They walked past us and stood in line for the movies- which just so happened to be right next to our table. Madison tried to hide her face.

Maddi dared me to go past them and say "hey cutie!" when we were going to get up and go. I didn't.

We had fun with the whole dare-thing. It was a hoot.

After that, we went and got pictures taken. They looked so bad. All three of us squished into the booth and squirmed around so we'd all fit. Some people walking by kinda stared.

That's only part of what happened..when we got back home we decided to walk around the block. A bunch of Mexican started clearing thier throats. .Kayla and Maddi turned around, and they stopped. They turned around again, and they did it again (the coughing). They turned around and waved at them.

We decided to go around the block again after we got some jackets (it was getting cold).

When we got back to that area again, some guys in a truck yelled out the window at us, saying something in Spanish. Kayla yelled back "English." The guy said "What?" Kayla got kinda nervous and told him that she only understands English. He asked what her name was. She kinda giggled and kept going. So they drove off.

It was funny. We had fun.
Maddi was sayin' that she loves our little click at school.
We're the ones that are kinda friends with just about all the other clicks in some way. We're kinda goofy. But it's great being who we are. . !

P.S. The Ballet we saw was Giselle. . .Terrin was way off.

ThE WeeK oF fRidaY tHe thiRteEntH

This week has been one of those weeks where everything seems to be going wrong.
I don't have weeks like that very often. Or days for that matter. It's pretty sad. . the only day that I've [so far] had a good day, funny as it is, is today. Friday the thirteenth (FTT)! Hah!!

(Oh, if you exclude being to school at 6 this morning, it was an awsome day. Alittle boring, but I'm not down-in-the-dumps today.)

Most people think that FTT is a bad day, when you should stay inside, or not go out at night, or you'll have bad luck or something. I guess that I'm just different.

My friend has been haveing a great FTT. She says thaat it started at, I think she said, one in the morning. Ya see, she's been having fights with her bf (now her ex). I guess that he's decided that he doesn't want to talk to her anymore -except for over texts. Something about he's always worrying if he's gonna say something to offend her or something. I dunno.

My bad days were Wednesday and Thursday. The two days before. I don't think that FTT is that big of a thing --I guess that it doesn't help that I haven't seen that movie. But then, I don't think clowns are scary, and I've seen It. Maybe you have to be a wee lad or lassy to have that happen, huh?

First my math teacher wasn't there (and I was even on time today!!!

>:( ); my hair would do what I wanted it to do; I got to school on time (even if it was 6 itm); I got to talk to 'a certain somebody' ;); it's sunny outside, not raining or snowing, like they were saying it was supposed to. See, pretty good, right?

I'm so glad that I'm having a good day, though. I don't want to be a grouch all the time. People that are always grumpy drag me down. It's kinda depressing.

What I hate are those days where you're fine, then one stupid thing happens, and suddenly, you're whole day has sucked!

I'm going with a friend to the Ballet. . I don't know what show, though. She doesn't know either. It starts with an "S." I do know it's Ballet West, so it should be ok.

Well, I hope that ya'll have had a cheery disposition today, too!

My Creative Corner

This last week I made some brownies for my friend for her birthday.
The title on the recipe says Texas Sheet Cake or Brownies.
I left out the sour cream. I thought that sounded weird, and a little gross.
Texas Sheet Cake or Brownies
2 c sugar
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 cubes butter (1/2 lb.)
1 c water
4 tblsp cocoa
1/2 c sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp soda

In large bowl put sugar, flour and salt. In small heavy pan bring butter, water, and cocoa to boil, take from heat and add immediately to dry ingredients. Add sour cream, eggs and soda. Mix well. Batter will be very thin, pour into greased and floured 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inch pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 375 degrees. Do not overbake -----ice while warm.
If you want brownies, use 2 cookie sheets.

Cocoa Nut Frosting
1 c nuts
1 box powdered sugar (I'm guessing about a lb. ?)
1 tsp vanilla
1 cube butter (1/4 lb.)
6 tblsp milk
4 tblsp cocoa

Boil milk, butter, cocoa until bubbly. Mix in nuts, sugar, and vanilla. Beat until smooth, spread over warm cake.
Serves 12-15 or if brownies 24-30.
* Make sure you don't burn it!!!

**I just used cream cheese frosting. It tasted pretty good.**

My friend liked it, she said it has a texture that's kind of a mix between cake and brownies. If you decide to try it out, lemme know what you thought of it. :D

HAPPY EASTER 2 ALL!!

I hope that everyone has enjoyed yet another easter!
I love easter...it really says spring to me.
I love all the cute little baby bunnies and such.
Then there's the great, big bunny. You'd think that a huge rabbit would scare the crap outta the wee kids, but they look forward to the big guy. . he's like the less popular version of the big, red-clad, soot-covered elf. (ho ho ho)

I've got this card, I think it's pretty cute. One the front cover it has a little kid saying, "Santa says he's gonna find out who's naughty and nice. I like the Easter Bunny better." On the inside: "He doesn't make any moral judgments. Merry Christmas." So it kinda ties in with the whole Easter thing, right?

I'm sure a ton of people went to church today. . it's one of the, like, two days in the year that a lot of people might go to church: Christmas & Easter.
Nice. So people are ok with celebrating the birth of Christ and the death of Christ.
In a way, it's kinda ironic. .in a strange sorta way.

Today I learned about these Easter cookies. They're interesting. They really tie into Easter, with how they cook and everything. Each ingredient has a special meaning. I might get the recipe from one of the leaders. I'll have to try it.

~wHaT a DaY~

Hello dearest readers and fellow bloggers!!

Today was a great day (if you exclude my first class of the day, and my last class was kinda bore-ish too, hmm). It was fun, exciting, and within itself a blast. . if you can call school a blast. I have felt energetic and happy and like the world doesn't hate me (I hate the days where you feel like crap)!!! It's great!

I'm on the very lovely, very sought to, and (of course) the very delectable SPRING BREAK!! My teach was trying to figure out a way to say it without saying spring, or something to do with Christ. She came up with something like 'bunny day' or something. Yes, it's extremely creative on her part. Let's all start calling St. Patty's Day "Shamrock Day" or something, I'm sure everyone will know that one. There are endless posabilities of saying holidays in new, "creative" ways, I'm sure. . but let's not bore you with that.

I'm thinking about applying for a job. I'm thinking DQ, WD, or something. There is one thing.. it has to be close! I'm not gonna get another job where I only work one day a week, and you have to drive 1/2 a freakin' hour to get there. Anyway, I think it would be fun to work at an ice cream place! Whatdya think? I do have my food handler's permit, I might as well get some use out of it.

About my profile, it probably sounds like I'm, like, in love with chick-flicks or something. I am here to tell you, not so. I actually don't watch chick-flicks that much. Some of them are kinda good though!

93 At times, I wish life were more like the movies.
94 I'm not a narcissist, or very self-centered.
95 Sometimes I feel so small next to people that have done so much and accomplished so much. Sometimes I think that I haven't done anything worth while, and I hate it.

97 I loathe people that seem perfect.

Rantings & Ravings: High School vs. Jr. High.

Some people are great! And then there are those that are so immature that they're impossible! I wish that I didn't have to try to deal with those people every day. I guess that I just try to ignore them. Don't we all? The sad thing, it's the "popular kids," and that can get pretty lame. They're also the ones who don't give a flying turd what everyone else thinks or are trying to do.

It's sad how typical high school really is at times. Then, there are the parts that I love, love, love about it. Mostly, I get to see some of my friends that I wouldn't get to see otherwise.

I think that jr. high had more drama than high school has so far. There is the exception of more people worry about "going out", and actually going to dances, not those lame ones they have at the jr. high. My favorite part are all the lovely slow dances...ick, especially when there's nobody that you like.

It's also less embarassing who you like, it doesn't really matter. In jr. high, the other kids (when they find out who you like) tease you and say stuff like "ewww. . you like him ?!" It's so dumb.

I think another plus about being out of jr. high, is that at my high school we don't have a uniform. . er, dress code. We can wear just about anything we want to. At that jr. high, just about everything (to them) was gang related or not appropriate. Like flip flops were considered in appropriate. . I can kinda see where that comes from, though. Open toes and germs raiding the floors, I don't really want to get athlete's foot. Gross. . !
But this year I didn't have to go into the gym locker rooms that often. So I don't think it's very likely that I'm gonna get that.

Hello World!!

Yeah me!! I've now got my very own web page!! Isn't that sooo special (don't say ed.) Blast, now to come up with things to talk about. But hey, i'm in high school. I'm pretty sure I can come up with some stuff.
The thing is, not writing things down that people (aka friends & family) can use against me!! :D
*Sorry if this is really boring!

By the way, I've decided that I should do some shout-outs to the world. . my own little blogs! But I didn't really want it to look like I'm trying to sell myself or something. In my opinion, that's what myspace looks like. It's not that i don't like MS, I have some friends that have accounts on there.

If you were wondering about the name. It's cuz I've decided that I've got a special kind of hair color. It's gingerbread colored! My hair color is one of those that is like a mix of everything. It's got blonde, brunette, and red (would that be auburn?). Most people I know like to keep it simple, and just call me a redhead!
Also, I like ginger (as a dessert, fryed ginger is nasty!!!), gingerbread houses are pretty (& they taste pretty good too. as long as they don't break your teeth!), and ginger snaps are one of my favs! (gingergirl.blogger or whatever it is was already taken :()

I think that my main inspirations would be my aunt (who also has a blog here. . she's located over at the ranting closet, just to let you know), the rest of my family and a few of my friends.

Let's get off the boring stuff. Ok? Maybe I'll take Becky's advice (from her page) and come up with 101 things about me! But that will probably take a few days to come up with.

Yesterday was a fairly boring day for me. I didn't have school, and I hoped that it would be fun & exciting. But no. . I spent the whole freakin' day waiting for people to call me back. One was the "boss-man-sir". He never called me back, though. I had to call him. Basically, if you read between the lines. . i don't have a job anymore. All well, I only worked on the weekends and it's a 1/2 hour drive to get there. So I'm not that sad. They were always trying to cut down my hours too.
The other person i was waiting for was a friend of mine. She was getting info and her uniform stuff for work (she just got a job at Subway, Ishe's starting tomorrow), and we were going to do something either later that day, or today. We ended up seeing Stomp the Yard, it was pretty good.

On Friday, I got my food handler's permit. That, I swear, is the easiest test I'll ever have taken!
I got it because my above mentioned friend had to get her's for work, and she can't go ANYWHERE alone. So i decided that I'd go with her. There was this funny guy that ended up sitting next to us. He was asking me questions the whole time (like what virus the instructor was just talking about). After the test, he said that he was so glad that he'd studied for that. . he'd stayed up all night worrying about it. LOL.
While my friend and I were waiting for a ride back home (neither of us has her license yet. I should have mine, but there are a few complications) we had fun taking pix with her cell and reading some of her old text messages from a guy that she's completely obsessing over.

Today I went to a family member's wedding. She's my dad's cousin in a round-about way. I think that it's funny that her new hubby asked her out over text messaging for their first date(He was too scared to ask her out to her face!) The wedding was nice. Their color was purple. Her bouque was pretty, with a mesh of purple, pink, green, and white vegitation. The ceremony was short, but sweet! She looked really pretty in her dress. . . . not like a snow-beast (like on My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding. . which is a show I haven't seen in a while. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.) it had just enough whiteness to it, and not overpowering. I supose that some people like it like that, but I'm not really into the cream-puff look myself (no offense if you are).

I've been trying to find a cord for my camera, so I can hook it up to my computer, but I can't find it. I wanted to see how the lighting in this room would look. Last time I tried using it, the computer was in a different room with not as much lighting. They all turned out really dark, it was sad.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed my blabbering and nonsensical wit (j/k) for today!! Tune in next time for more of Mego! (That's what my friends call me)
